Justin Herbert struggled for the Los Angeles Chargers. There is no doubt about it.
The Chargers begin the 2026 NFL season as seemingly everyone’s favorite dark-horse candidate to win the Super Bowl.
They are now 0-3 after losing to the Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills.
Bringing in Mike McDaniel, a renowned offensive mind and the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, should ignite Herbert and the Chargers’ offense.
Instead, Herbert looked awful, and especially against the Bills.
He completed just 20-of-34 passes for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He should have thrown two more interceptions, but the Bills had a case of “drops” on defense.
The interception he made was in double coverage and right safety CJ Gardner-Johnson.
