A viral video has emerged showing a referee cussing out Cardinals tight end Trey McBride midway through the club’s loss to the Giants.
The Arizona Cardinals fell 36-24 to the New York Giants in Week 4. It was a back-and-forth contest, but it didn’t end in Arizona’s favor. As the team discussed the loss, there was a viral moment that happened midway through the game, as it appeared a referee was going after Trey McBride.
As the 26-year-old tight end appeared to be complaining about something, a ref a few yards away from him appeared to say “f*** you” several times. At least that’s what it seems from lip reading, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. McBride smiled after the camera saw the whole incident.

It is yet to be seen if the NFL will hand down a penalty for the referee. The league may conduct its own investigation into the matter. But that is yet to be determined.
Trey McBride finished the day with seven receptions for 31 yards on 12 targets. While he’s been given plenty of opportunities to have a big day, the five-year veteran’s day has been relatively quiet. The Cardinals’ leading receiver on Sunday was Michael Wilson, who finished with seven catches for 95 yards. Additionally, Marvin Harrison Jr. got his first touchdown catch of the campaign.
Arizona is now 1-3 on the season after losing three straight. Things won’t get any easier for the franchise, as the club is set to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Additionally, the Cardinals are playing in a loaded NFC West consisting of the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Rams, which doesn’t bode well for a possible turnaround this year.
