Much has been said about the QB room of the 2026 Denver Broncos. I am a proponent of the 2 QB roster. We’re keeping 3. While I believe we have two decent backups, we could certainly part with either one to add some draft capital.
As I said before, neither Stidham nor Ehlinger are likely to win us a playoff game. Perhaps either could be a solution against a lesser opponent.
As I write this, I can’t help but think that a Quality veteran QB is clearly the better answer. I watched Case Keenum lead the Chicago Bears against a formidable Eagles defense. He looked confident and calm and provided the scoring and otherwise error-free football to take a 10-0 lead into halftime.
We don’t need TWO PROJECT backup QBs… We need a SOLID veteran who is dependable and ready to help at any time to salvage a Victory.
Watching Marcus Mariota lead the Commanders to a last-minute comeback victory makes our backup QB decisions even more confusing.
We just need a capable, qualified, experienced veteran. Our backups belong to the practice squad…
