According to The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero, the Indianapolis Colts have signed Ade Adebawore to a 2-year, $35 million contract extension (with a $13 million signing bonus):
As a pending free agent, the former 2023 4th round pick of the Colts is in the midst of a breakout campaign in Indianapolis, recording 19 tackles (8 solo), 4 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, 16 total QB pressures, and 2 passes defensed in 8 games (2 starts).
His pass rushing production is quite impressive considering that Adebawore was previously in a rotational interior pass rushing role during the 2026 season, with more limited snaps, but has now become a full-time starter after the Colts traded veteran defensive tackle DeForest Buckner earlier last week.
A number of interested NFL suitors have reportedly called the Colts with Adebawore’s availability, but at just 25-years-old, Indianapolis considers him a key defensive player in their recently begun rebuild and duly extended him, even with a general manager move expected at the end of the year.
