The Los Angeles Chargers are 0-7 after falling to the Los Angeles Rams on the road in Week 8. Now the Chargers will have a chance to face the Houston Texans at home in Week 9.
The Texans have found their fair share of struggles this season at 2-5, but they are fresh off their annual bye and well rested for the matchup. The Bolts enter this week as 4.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is currently set at 41.5 points.
The Chargers struggled again when they faced the Rams. The Chargers had a 9-3 lead with 2 minutes left in the second quarter, but they went on a touchdown drive to close the first half, giving the Rams a lead going into the locker room. From there, the Rams capitalized and scored twice in the third quarter to take a 24-9 lead, which ended up being the final score.
Hope is not lost for the Chargers as they hold the No. 1 overall pick for the 2027 NFL Draft. However, getting a win or two will give them some morale for the second half of the season.
Maybe this is the week the Chargers have a chance to get their first win.
