Seahawks-Bears injury report: Cross and Shaheed out, Leonard Williams limited with Achilles

The Seattle Seahawks have a long injury report to begin their preparations for the showdown with the Chicago Bears Monday Night Football with a whopping 18(!!) players listed with some sort of designation. DNP for injury included Charles Cross, Rashid Shaheed, and Uchenna Nwosu. Notable limited participants were Tyrice Knight, Drake Thomas, newcomer Jadarian Price, and Leonard Williams who had an Achilles injury…maybe I shouldn’t have used the word “pop” in his case. Find wood to knock on if you are superstitious.

Seahawks rookie Quenton Nelson is listed as a full participant along with Zach Charbonnet. The hope is that the two of them along with the potential Jadarian Price can help take the running game to another level, thus lessening the load on Sam Darnold’s shoulders.

Mike Macdonald seems pretty positive about Cross, saying that IR is not a consideration at this time. The less time he misses, the more he can spend with his new partner in crime on the left in Nelson.

With this being the first injury report of the week, we’ll have to see how things shake out over the next few days to see who is really in danger of missing the primetime game.
