Reacts to Survey Results: Jaguars (Still) Need Pass Rushing Depth

This week, we asked Jacksonville Jaguars fans which position group the team should target before the NFL trade deadline on November 10.

Only 3% of respondents said they should take no action; more than half of respondents would like to see a move made for a defensive lineman.

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, the DL market seems to be drying up.

According to Albert Breer, the Philadelphia Eagles “told others that [Moro] Ojomo was unavailable, and at least gave the impression that it would try to re-sign him, despite having [Jalen] Carter and [Jordan] Davis is already in big deals.”

According to Jonathan Jones, the Los Angeles Chargers “are 0-6 but are telling teams that Khalil Mack is unavailable.”

According to Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals’ Josh Sweat “is looking for a new contract,” which could make trade negotiations more difficult.

It’s unfortunate for the Jaguars that two DL moves on, Jeffery Simmons and DeForest Buckner, have been traded to AFC South teams. The Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts would not have sent a star pass rusher to their division rival, regardless of their respective competition timelines.

We still have 10 days and two NFL Weeks until the deadline, though, so anything can happen…

As for the confidence survey, 98% of fans are confident that the team is headed in the right direction.

Here’s how Jacksonville’s odds of winning Super Bowl LXI have changed over the course of the season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
