Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season is over for the remaining unbeaten teams in the league. There are only three teams with perfect records through the first five weeks, and they all really have some notable concerns.
The league truly feels wide open this year, as there are some clearly regressing squads, and others that are overachieving. In other words, it seems like you could argue that 10 different teams have what it takes to win the Super Bowl this year. Yes, it’s still early, but we’re almost halfway through October, so things are really starting to settle down.
Let’s power-rank the three remaining unbeaten teams as Week 5 closes.
Power-rank the three remaining unbeaten teams in five weeks in 2026
3. Minnesota Vikings (5-0)
It’s hard to fully buy into the Minnesota Vikings right now, but 5-0 is 5-0. The defense has been outstanding this year. Brian Flores’ defense is 1st in the NFL in points allowed per game, and they’ve allowed more than 16 points in just one of five games this year, which sounds like an unreal stat.
The main issue in Minnesota is the state of guilt. Kyler Murray seems to be pulling things together, but it’s unclear at this point how well Murray and this unit will fare. They rank 20th in points scored per game, as Murray hasn’t fully recovered yet.
If this defensive dominance is sustainable, the Vikings should be able to cruise to an NFC North title, and it also makes you wonder how far this team can go if Murray and the offense live up to it in the coming weeks.
The Vikings are a very good team, no doubt, but they feel like they are the ‘worst’ undefeated team right now, as the offense is something that just hasn’t come together so far. With Kevin O’Connell running the show, however, there’s reason to believe they’ll hit something.
