Okay, the New York Jets lost to the previously winless Miami Dolphins. That was a big suction cup last week, but how the Jets respond will determine whether or not head coach Aaron Glenn is gone in the locker room.
So far this season, despite all the problems, the players have not, until this point, given up on the coach. They fight every week and come back in the second half.
However, ESPN’s Rich Cimini said on the “Jets Collective” podcast that he felt a strange but familiar vibe in the locker room after the Dolphins loss.
“I felt something in the locker room after the game. Just a weird vibe. You can tell by the players’ body language and how they react. It’s like something, almost, or I feel like something happened in the postgame. I don’t know what it is; I can’t put my finger on it, but I know that feeling. I’ve felt that in a lot of locker rooms in the past, and I’m going to keep fighting if this team blows up, and I’m going to keep fighting if this team blows up. Sunday, we’ll find out he’s lost the locker room, and then it’s really over,” Cimini said.
Whether you think Glenn is the long-term coach for the Jets or not, we should be rooting for wins this season. We have 10 more games. If we start the whole tanking conversation, it’s going to be a very long end of the season. The Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys can handle the loss. You hate watching those teams, but try to love your Jets.
