You usually want to see some semblance of progress for players with injuries. Unfortunately, the Chargers saw zero steps forward on their full injury report from Wednesday.
Offensive guard Kayode Awosika (fibula) and wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad/hamstring) are again not participating. There is hope that both can return this week, but they are set to miss another week at this rate.
Receivers Ladd McConkey (concussion) and Tre’ Harris (hamstring) were full and limited, respectively. Having Harris back there would be huge for the offense, but recent history tells us we can’t count on McConkey’s return to last that long.
Cornerback Rodney Shelley is on pace to return from a hamstring injury and the Chargers will need him with fellow corner Deane Leonard still rehabbing a concussion. Veteran Donte Jackson’s return to the field is also big for the cornerback room that continues to be wiped out by injuries.
