What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I think what made me decide that I wanted to be a football player was around fourth grade and I was really struggling in school. I moved around a lot and I had a really hard time at school making friends and I heard that football was a great way so I had to convince my dad to let me play football because he was a bit against it. Especially when I start like I’m younger, but I think I’m starting when it all started. It’s like I’m just making friends at a new school. That’s why I really want to start playing football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Favorite moment would have to be when I was playing for Delaware and my first college game I played was against Penn State and it was their home opener. Oh, it’s crazy, I got in, I got two tackles. It was nice to hear my name on the loudspeaker. Unfortunately, we didn’t win. I think that was my favorite moment of my career. My favorite moment at Slippery Rock was probably beating IUP, our rivals. That’s probably my favorite moment so far.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Definitely Tom Brady. I think Tom Brady he is like the ultimate competitor. He seems like someone who would be really good to be around. I mean his mentality, his love for the game, the way he destroys the film, his intelligence. He’s not like the most athletic guy in the world, but he’s special, like he uses his mind. I just want to understand the ins and outs of his mind.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-2-5. That’s actually a scheme, that’s my favorite scheme. I played with 3-3 stacks. I played in a 4-3 defense but a 4-2-5. i love it I love having three more defensive linemen, putting pressure on the quarterback, getting into the backfield enough and I love having two linebackers backing us up and five defensive backs in coverage just gives me a little bit of time to get back to that quarterback.

What stands out the most in your film?

I think the most noticeable thing about my film is that I have a great motor. I guess my motor is high and my bend is high especially for my size. I’m a bigger defensive end about 280 but I have a great bend. I think those are the two things that stand out the most about me and just my knowledge of the game is just some of the things that told me just my understanding of the game, recognizing the plays, being one step ahead of the offense because I know what they’re doing you know because I mean I’m in the film room several hours a day so I think that’s what really stands out on my tape.

What should we know about Brett Kwoka the person?

One thing you should know about me is outside of football. I have very interesting hobbies. I like to think that I have really interesting hobbies. I really enjoy spearfishing and I like deep sea fishing. I am a big fisherman. I also like to read. I like to read. I just finished the red rising series. I know the Cleveland Browns are reading that right now and now I’m in another series called sun eater. I mean they are definitely long. I love to read.

What do you like most about the game of football?

I love just every day you’re with the same guy like there’s no feeling you can’t even describe it. I think the closest thing you can get is like a military boot camp. It’s the same guys every day who do the same BS to get yelled at by the same coaches over and over again and that level of bond and trust like you can hang out with these guys doing anything and I know these guys are always behind me you can contact me anytime. Just a level of trust and commitment that we have to each other. You can’t beat it with anything in the world, so it’s my favorite sport.

Who is the most underrated player you have played with and why?

When I played at Shepherd. It’s this guy named Cameron Dorner and you know he finally got a lot of recognition but he was under the radar when we first played together he went on to transfer to North Texas and had a stint with the Patriots but he but he’s probably the most freakishly athletic guy I’ve ever played with and then we have linebacker Brodie Carroll, and I know those two in E. fell under the radar. Those are some of the freakiest. athletes I have played with in my life.
