Joe Burrow issued a stern warning to the Bengals following a mistake-filled win over the Dolphins

It was nice to get back in the win column, but no one seemed particularly happy with the Bengals’ performance.

Quarterback Joe Burrow didn’t seem particularly pleased when he spoke to the media, offering what could be considered a warning to the Bengals about playing complete games. Burrow cited red-zone turnovers, personal-foul penalties and field position as areas where the Bengals fell short Sunday.

“We had to be smarter. Two fumbles in the red zone. A couple of personal fouls that hurt us, hurt our field position, put them on the board,” Burrow said.

A loss to the Dolphins, who entered the matchup at 0-4, was nothing but expected of a team with Super Bowl aspirations. The game never felt like it was in danger, but Burrow clearly wanted to get rid of the game sooner and in a cleaner way.

“We had some dumb mistakes, and we have to fix those if we want to be a good team,” Burrow continued.

There are many good things to take from the Bengals’ first five games of the season, but there are also many things to worry about as the team heads into their bye week.

As the team looks to get healthy and prepare for the rest of their season, one thing is clear — the franchise quarterback is not happy with their 3-2 record, or how they got there.
