Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief with Dylan Parham’s injury

Starting left guard Dylan Parham left Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions with a knee injury. Parham is considered week-to-week per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.

Of the four players, Parham’s status is the biggest mystery. Hall’s diagnosis was learned this week, and Mitchell and Taylor are dealing with hand injuries.

After Parham left the Week 3 loss at Detroit with an apparent knee injury, it’s easy to fear the worst.

Not all news is good. Parham appears unlikely to play in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears. That would put backup interior lineman Jordan Meredith in the starting lineup. Meredith struggled against Detroit after replacing Parham. But at least the worst case scenario was avoided.

The Jets signed Parham in free agency from the Raiders in the offseason, and he played well inside the offensive line in the early stages of the season.
