The Detroit Lions are locked in a tight NFC North battle this Sunday with the Minnesota Vikings.
And now the Lions are worried about one of their defensive stalwarts as well.
Linebacker Jack Campbell was taken off the field at Ford Field on a stretcher after a scary scene late in the second half. Campbell was involved in a tackle early in the fourth quarter and after a collision he fell heavily to the Ford Field turf, and remained motionless on the field as trainers rushed to him.
A clip of the play is linked here, and you can see Campbell and a teammate make a tackle on a throw underneath to tight end TJ Hockenson from quarterback Kyler Murray.
The crowd at Ford Field fell silent, and several players knelt around Campbell, wearing the emotions of the moment on their faces:
Campbell was stabilized on a stretcher before he was taken off the field, and all the Detroit players came to congratulate him before he left the field.
Note: This is a developing story and will be updated.
