Indianapolis Colts Injury Report: Week 8 Wednesday

The Indianapolis Colts today released their Wednesday injury report ahead of week 8 of the NFL season. The Colts conducted a walk-through today so the injury report is only an estimate of a player’s participation if there was a practice.

Linebacker CJ Allen (ankle) is a full participant today. Allen was in line to start Sunday until he injured his ankle. Fellow rookie linebacker Bryce Boettcher (groin) didn’t practice today, looking like he’ll miss another week with a groin injury. While veteran linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (hand) was a full participant despite a hand injury.

Cornerback Justin Walley (knee) missed today’s practice. Wally was a game time decision on Sunday due to a knee injury but he was able to play and looked good. Fellow cornerback Sauce Gardner (calf) returned to practice today, albeit on a limited basis. Gardner is coming back from a calf injury that caused him to miss two games so far. His return could be a big boost for a cornerback room that is getting thinner by the minute.

Tight ends Drew Ogletree (knee) and Tyler Warren (groin) are both limited in practice today. Ogletree has been dealing with a knee injury for the past few weeks but managed to play throughout. Warren injured his groin in practice and missed two games because of it.

Right Guard Matt Goncalves (ankle) was limited in practice today. Goncalves has had an ankle injury for the past two weeks. Since Nelson was traded to Seattle, Goncalves became the Colts’ best and most experienced guard. Fortunately, Goncalves has been playing through an ankle injury so far.
