🏈 Georgia–Alabama: The Biggest Game, The Toughest Call?
There’s no doubt that Georgia–Alabama is the marquee matchup on Saturday’s Week 6 menu.
Earlier in the week, there was some doubt about whether the game would be played at all. Now the question is how much of an impact Hurricane Isaias will have on football.
Tuscaloosa’s hourly forecast calls for a wet field and winds around 20 mph. Alabama remains a 1.5-point favorite (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
Perhaps because of the uncertainty, the game did not attract much choice from VSiN experts.
Leave it to Matt Youmans to step up on offense.
Matt finds an intriguing quarterback matchup: Georgia senior Gunner Stockton Completed 75.5% of his passes with 13 touchdowns and one interception, while the Alabama phenom Keelon Russell has scored 15 touchdowns in five games.
Matt gives Stockton the advantage of big-game experience, but knows Kirby Smart needs a special defense to slow Russell down. And he’s hesitant to put such a short number on the Bulldogs.
So Matt takes a less straightforward betting strategy in this game.
