DK Metcalf provided Sauce Gardner with some bulletin board material ahead of their Week 5 face-off.
The Pittsburgh Steelers hosts the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, with the Metcalf-Gardner matchup as one of the main duels to watch. But if you ask DK, he doesn’t believe he has anything to worry about heading into the tournament at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Metcalf had an interesting response when a reporter asked him about the fight with Gardner.
Reporter: “What do you have to worry about when you fight a guy like Sauce Gardner?”
Metcalf: “Who?”
Reporter: “Sauce Gardner. What should you be concerned about when you prepare to face him?”
Metcalf: “Won my fight.”
Reporter: “What is he doing so well that you have to do..”
Metcalf: “I’m not worried about what a DB does well. They have to watch me.”

The reporter might enter the scrum looking for a quote from Metcalf to use in an article about Gardner or his upcoming matchup with Metcalf. The Steelers veteran has no plans to give him anything.
Metcalf either genuinely has no idea who Gardner is or is deliberately dissing the All-Pro cornerback by pretending not to know him.
Either way, Metcalf just added a little extra spice to Sunday’s Colts-Steelers matchup.
