With our Miami Dolphins facing the Cincinnati Bengals tomorrow, I asked the following question this past week:
What are your predictions, bold or otherwise, for the Miami Dolphins defense and offense in Sunday’s upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals? Who do you expect to lead the team in key categories such as tackles, tackles for loss, pass breakups, interceptions, defensive touchdowns, etc., on defense, and receiving yards, touchdowns, receptions, rushing production, and first downs, etc., on offense? What are your stat-line projections for our key playmakers this week and/or who will be the team MVPs on each side of the ball?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers about tomorrow’s game-
UK could lean on the Phins if both starting WRs are out for the week.
If both Chase and Higgins are out, I might pick the Dolphins, assuming Higgins plays I’m going with a narrow bengal win.
I think there is a chance for the offense to have the best performance, but we have to neuter the threat of Lawrence and Mafe. They don’t blitz much but assuming we give Brew some help against Lawrence, I’m concerned if slowik leaves Jackson 1:1 as a result. Mafe is no Crosby, Boda or Turner but he is too good for Austin in the pass pro. I would like to see kacmarek make some chip releases and then if we can create good pockets I think we will exceed our points total for now
Wildfin22 has the Phins by 3. Love the positivity!
Phoenix6I think, predicts a victory of the Phins.
Defense with pick6 & 4sacks, Offense with 27pts
Dulcich 65yds and a TD, Willis 300yds total – 260air, 40grd – 1TD… Gordon II 100yds 1TD
Rodriguez 1forced to scratch, 1intrrception
MVP Robinson and Gordon II
Jptapt want to know if Miami finally figured out how to cover the tight end?
They figure out how to cover a tight end?
If they can finally handle the penalties, they will win.
Otherwise, they beat themselves up.
SabanpickedCulpepper watching that line!
Vegas has +6.5 on us which tells me THE CHASE IS OUT
Along with Chase is in the +12 to +14 range
Robert Burstein sees our Phins fighting again, but with similar results.
I think Miami will play hard again for 4qtrs only to be on the losing side again. Even without WR Chase, I don’t see Burrow losing on this roster. 13 – 27 Bengals win.
Molly Polly II seeing the Bengals win by two touchdowns
Good matchup between Bengals O and Finz D. Would be sweeeeeeet to see JRod, Johnson or Taffe get pick 6! Hopefully our ST will play well at home. As for the offense, the Bengals D has issues, maybe we can build a passing attack. 🤞
Bengals 30, Fins 16
NeenerWhacker seeing the Phins bounce back from where we were last week.
In classic Phins fashion, the Dolphins retreat as soon as we get hope. The defense couldn’t stop Chase Brown from catching passes out of the backfield and there were a lot of turnovers from the offense. Fans’ patience with Hafley and Willis will be tested. Not what I want, just what I think will happen.
Bengals 30 – Dolphins 6
Flexible predicting that it all comes together and Miami walks away with a win.
This is the week they put all the pieces together! They stopped Burrow, Malik put on a show and they cruised to an easy 23-10 victory. The Bengals are notorious for beating teams they shouldn’t be.
MiamiItaliano Miami loses, just less without one of the starting WRs.
Both Higgins and Chase are training this week. If they both play, Burrow drops 40 on the Fins’ heads. The Dolphins will probably squirt another 13 points. Without Higgins or Chase, the Bengals might only get 23 points.
JungleJohn come in peace!
Bengals fans here. I come in peace so hold on to your rocks. Full strength, we win hands down. Higgins is not going to play and Chase hasn’t been declared in so we definitely have a busted wing. IMO, it all comes down to us being able to put pressure on passing downs. The Bengals are absolutely determined not to take the Dolphins lightly.
Even without Tee and Chase, the team has some pretty skilled down roster WRs so don’t assume Burrow can’t complete passes. Our run game is however a bit suspect and Rodriguez, my personal favorite LB in the draft that I lobbied for should be able to keep it under control.
I honestly don’t know much about the Dolphins because we don’t play them very often but I’m sure you’re overdue for a win. But, to be really honest, I wonder if winning should be a top priority because I understand you have some roster rebuilding to do and a high draft pick needs to be on the team’s radar. But players are players and they truly determine the outcome. I am very sure that they will give maximum effort. Win or lose I’m just hoping to go into our bye week without any further injuries.
Well, that’s our pick of predictions for this week. Many of us are quite optimistic about tomorrow’s game against the Bengals, while others are hoping for more of the same. As always, thanks to everyone who took the time to participate and answer our PQOTD. Also remember to join us tomorrow for our live game thread.
