Cowboys lose as former Eagles players come up big for Cardinals in Dallas chokejob

The Philadelphia Eagles got some good news ahead of their Week 8 game on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Commanders where the Dallas Cowboys choked and lost to the Arizona Cardinals!

The Cowboys seem to be cruising to a win. They took a 14-point lead late in the third quarter and Arizona never seriously threatened to take the lead:

But the Cardinals made a quarterback change from Jacoby Brissett to former Eagles backup Gardner Minshew. And that change clearly paid off as Minshew went 17/23 for 188 passing yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 137.3 passer rating.

Then it was the Cardinals almost the game is won; they scored a touchdown with six seconds left in the fourth quarter … but Chad Ryland missed the extra point to keep it tied at 30 apiece.

The Cardinals then went three-and-out to start overtime, allowing the Cowboys to win the game with a field goal. But former Eagles edge rusher Josh Sweat made a huge third down sack to force Dallas into a punt.

From there, the Cardinals drove into field goal range for the win!
