Coach Nick Sirianni’s Philadelphia Eagles may be on the verge of making a move involving their defensive tackle, Moro Ojomo.
Coach Nick Sirianni’s Philadelphia Eagles are in last place in the NFC East with a 2-6 record and likely sellers at the NFL trade deadline with Saquon Barkley and other key players still ill. Sirianni started himself after a Week 8 debacle against the Commanders the week before that has been heavy on trade rumors so far.
On Monday, November 2, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler talked about the latest Eagles trade deadline rumors as teams are reportedly interested in trading for defensive tackle Moro Ojomo.
“There’s a lot of interest in Moro Ojomo, their defensive tackle, teams like Jacksonville, Minnesota, others are looking for help this time of year,” Fowler said.
Ojomo is a 6-foot-3, 292 pound defensive tackle from Texas who was taken by Philadelphia in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has recorded 20 or more tackles in each of the last three seasons. He didn’t record any sacks this season but has six of them in 2025.
Ojomo is a player who has surpassed his draft position on coach Sirianni’s team, making him an attractive option as the trade deadline continues to progress.
The Eagles are going through more changes than anyone expected this season with Jalen Hurts out for the year due to blood clotting issues and the offense struggling under the leadership of backup QB Tanner McKee. Sirianni changed the subject when asked about offensive coordinator Sean Mannion recently, an issue that could linger until the end of the year unless a drastic turnaround happens in Philly.
Ojomo could soon move in with several other Eagles players as they look to rearrange the deck seats for future Super Bowl runs. Ojomo has talent, but the Eagles have enough faith in their front office to make some moves and to fill out their DT group later.
