The Indianapolis Colts are headed for a dark place. Game day may be bright and sunny with perfect temperatures and just the right amount of wind, but it’s sure to send a chill down Colts Nation’s spine. Facing the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh didn’t go so well, but the Colts get a chance to right some wrongs next week. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Colts as underdogs at +1.5 points on the spread.
The money line starts at +112 while the over/under comes in at 41.5.
The Colts got their season back on track after an 0-2 start. Wins against the Texans and Commander pointed them in the right direction. Playmaking from Daniel Jones continued to be a subtle theme as turnovers and a lack of positive ball movement became the story of the offense in the first half. Luckily, Jonathan Taylor is putting on a horseshoe, and the defense has kept it close enough for the Colts to comfortably pull ahead and get to .500.
The Steelers find themselves on the rare side of an “L” with the Cleveland Browns. It’s a rivalry that’s actually become more of a true divisive battle in recent years than ever before, though. The old Browns would have rolled after falling behind 0-7 to start, but this is the 3-1 Browns. They scored the next 21 and held off the Steelers with a late-game field goal. The Steelers will be looking to get the taste out of their mouths.
This is a big game for the Colts. A 2-3 to start the year on their schedule is something most fans take for granted. Now that they’re 2-2, though, 3-2 sounds even better. It’s a chance to continue their streak and build contender status in the league by getting a solid win against an opponent that causes them to fit. This could mark a big season shift.
