Matchups I like
Spags vs Bo Nix – I said the same thing last week and got burned, but there’s no Jaxon Smith Nijba to worry about in this game. The spags terrorized Nix in the first game of the season. Since then, Bo nix has been near the bottom of the NFL in most relevant statistical categories. The team won despite his play. The Spags will need a big day from this defense if KC is to win.
Our front 7 against their RB’s – Denvers running game was not very good. They are 24th in yards and 25th in YPR. This should not be a challenging game of running to stop.
Matchups I don’t want
Our OL vs Their DL- The Chiefs were able to hold Denver ahead in week one. I didn’t think it would be that easy this time. Jonathon Cooper is back on the field. he’s someone KC shouldn’t have worried about before. Jaylon Moore’s return helps, but it will be a tougher task than week one.
Our passing game against their defense – Denver gets Pat Surtain back. The rice is questionable. I think KC is going to have to throw the ball better and more than they did week one. I just don’t like this situation against this defense
Prediction Denver 20 KC 17
Denver’s offense has been rotten for most of the season. However, here they stand at 5 -2 with a chance to lead the division. KC surprised Denver in their running game week one. You know the Broncos are going to focus this time around. That puts a lot of emphasis on our under manned passing game. We also benefited from a historically poor performance against Denver’s defense. That probably won’t be the case in this game. The truth is that Denver has the personnel to make this offense what Seattle did last week. I can see a scenario where KC pulls this one, but I think Denver has the edge in a close game.
