Travis Etienne will be out with a Hamstring Injury

Saints HC Kellen Moore confirmed that RB Travis Etienne will miss time with a hamstring injury. Exactly how much time remains unclear. It’s worth noting that New Orleans has a Week 8 bye, so Etienne could miss 4 games, take a bye week, and return for Week 9. We’ll see if he ends up on IR later this week.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

Etienne is worth keeping in deeper fantasy leagues, but he shouldn’t be held if you’re hurting for a roster spot. He worked in a 3- and sometimes 4-RB committee before going down and looked no better than an RB3 in fantasy lineups.

His loss leaves Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller atop the depth chart. Kamara recorded 6 carries and 0 targets to Miller’s 4 carries and 2 targets after Etienne left the Week 3 loss to the Raiders. We are probably looking at something close to an even split between the guys, and RB CJ Donaldson also figures to mingle for some snaps.

Kamara and Miller are worth adding in most fantasy leagues, but neither is relied upon as more than an RB3 or flex play.
