At the moment, fans are not too excited about the upcoming game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London between the Washington Commanders and the Indianapolis Colts.
The game was scheduled for Oct. 4, but the NFL decided to drastically lower ticket prices in hopes of bringing more fans to the stadium, according to the AP’s Ken Maguire.
“After charging up to 245 pounds ($325) for tickets to see the Indianapolis Colts take on the Washington CommandersThe league has slashed prices in a bid to sell out the north London stadium, following slow sales compared to previous years,” Maguire wrote. “The league, faced with the prospect of attendance at a Tottenham game falling below 60,000 for the first time, recently slashed remaining tickets to 79 pounds ($105).”
A similar issue occurred in the summer as fans weren’t exactly in a rush to buy tickets.
In 2025, there are two games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: One between the Denver Broncos and New York Jetsand the other between the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars. Both of those games had attendances of over 61,000. The highest score for an NFL game at that stadium was 61,273, which came in 2023.
The NFL has made an increased effort to host international games, and the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys just played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Week 3. The Rams and 49ers also played in the NFL’s first-ever game in Australia in Week 1. There are also games scheduled this season in Paris, Madrid and Munich.
However, as far as London goes, tickets aren’t exactly flying off the shelves, so there may be some changes coming.
