Seahawks Week 7 injury report: Zach Charbonnet on track to play against Chiefs

The first Seattle Seahawks injury report since the team’s Thursday night loss to the Denver Broncos brought mixed news ahead of Seattle’s primetime showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.

On the very positive side, the return of Zach Charbonnet appears to be a lock to return against the Chiefs after he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. Charbonnet is out rehabbing a torn ACL suffered during last year’s playoff run and will hopefully bring some juice to a running game that has been sorely lacking after rookie Jadarian Price went down in Week 3.

All other offensive players, including guard Anthony Bradford, were listed as limited participants Wednesday. Bradford, the team’s starting guard, is working his way back from a brief stint on IR and is expected to return for the game against Kansas City. That will be notable for the Seahawks, considering rookie guard Beau Stephens was limited Wednesday.

Rounding out the offensive players are quarterback Drew Lock, who is limited with a right elbow injury, and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, who is limited with a hip injury. Lock’s condition may be worth monitoring as fans have called for him to start Sam Darnold again due to Darnold’s turnover problems.

The defensive side of the report is where things aren’t so sunny. Four of Seattle’s linebackers were listed on the report, excluding DeMarcus Lawrence, who sat out for rest. Drake Thomas (ankle), Connor O’Toole (hamstring) and Chazz Surratt (calf) did not practice.

Thomas’ backup, Tyrice Knight, was limited with an oblique injury Wednesday. It’s a troubling sign for the Seahawks, who are tasked with preventing Chiefs star running back and ex-Seahawks quarterback Kenneth Walker III on Sunday night.
