I missed my Milwaukee Brewers punching their ticket to the second World Series in team history for that garbage?
At this point, I can just copy and paste the same recap article every week. The Seahawks’ offense didn’t show up until the fourth quarter, finally finding the end zone with five minutes left in the game. Seattle’s defense got them the ball shortly and the Seahawks went back to work, nearing FG position. Then, Sam Darnold tried to end the game with an interception. The Seahawks defense, however, forced another three-and-out to allow their offense one more shot to tie the game, which they did, sending the game into overtime. In the extra frame, Darnold came up with the crucial end of the game, throwing another pick. The defense did what they could, but Denver was in scoring range and ended it with a long FG to send the Seahawks over .500 at 3-3. Seattle already has as many losses as it did last season, and any hopes of rekindling their fire from last season are dwindling. They look like a broken team on offense.
I really hate what I see with the Seahawks right now. If the defense doesn’t play out of their mind, Seattle might just be one win away. Honestly, this doesn’t look like a playoff team. The worst part is, the core issues of turnovers, penalties, and special teams gaffes have consistently returned to preseason ball. The fact that the coaching staff hasn’t been able to correct these mistakes makes me think we’re in for an entire season of backbreaking turnovers and/or penalties when the game is there for the taking. I just don’t trust them to spin it now, and it’s exhausting to write.
