Baltimore Ravens Offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford reached a breaking point when Thursday Night Football as the team crumbled in a 33-10 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Prime Video cameras captured Ledford angrily addressing and chewing his unit on the sideline before he launched his tablet to the ground in frustration.
“He’s seen about enough. They’ve had a lot of injuries. They’re on their fourth center. Just a disappointing night,” Kirk Herbstreit remarked in the broadcast. “I’m sure they challenged them all week.”
The outburst underscored a disastrous night for an offense depleted by injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano started and finished 10-of-18 for just 60 yards with two interceptions. Baltimore managed just 227 total yards for the game in wet conditions that exposed the Ravens’ struggles up front.
Rookie right guard Vega Ioane defended the display afterwards.
“He got mad at the little things we messed up,” Ioane told reporters. “He’s doing the right thing. Sometimes it’s right to be a little aggressive like that. That’s what everybody needs. In the course of the game, that’s what we need.”
The loss dropped the Ravens to 4-5 and extended their skid to four games, further dimming their postseason hopes as the offensive line continues to be a major liability.
