It’s November, which means two things when the Cincinnati Bengals are concerned.
One: Joe Burrow and the offense woke up from their annual offseason nap (which went a little too far into the season, as usual).
And two: it’s in honor of Service Month.
With Veterans Day just days away, the NFL is in its military-appreciation month, and the Bengals have a defensive tackle from the Navy and a Marine on the roster. After being named the Bengals’ Salute to Service Award nominee, Landon Robinson spoke with Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson about his time in the Navy, his service, and his future before the team leaves for Spain.
The Bengals selected Robinson with the No. 226 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. That’s the same pick the Arizona Cardinals spent on former NFL safety and former Army Ranger Pat Tillman.
“I took a class where we did a case study on him [Tillman] and learned about his story and what he did in the NFL and decided to serve. When I saw I got drafted 226, ‘Wow, that is crazy,’” he said when asked about Hobson’s coincidence.

Here’s what else is going on:
Quite a week for Turner, the No. 1 cornerback who looked like he had a serious injury just a week ago. The fact that the Bengals even flew him overseas, though, is a big hint that he has a real chance to play.
“I like the Bengals,” Hawkins said of the best fit for Taylor. “I think that’s the only big need they have offensively. Joe Burrow can obviously throw for 450 yards a game, but is it sustainable? Especially when you get into next season and the playoffs. They’ve got a good schedule ahead of them. They could use more firepower on offense.”
“I watch him on TV all the time. You know what I mean? Higgins said. “It’s crazy. We just talked about how fast this dude is, right? How can you run so fast, dribbling the ball with your feet? That’s crazy. And then the moves he throws, it’s amazing. Just having that type of player in the game will be great to see.”
“One of them is keeping the schedule as close to our routine as possible,” Taylor said. “We had a group of people who logistically handled it for us very well. My hat is off to everyone who helped us set up and helped us with our run. There are two teams here. Your job is to manage the week better than the other team as possible. I don’t know Atlanta’s itinerary; I can’t watch their practice or any other team. can control … This game will count the same as all the others, so it’s a shame if we’re not ready.”
