Ravens news: Andrews’ message on playing with Tyler Huntley

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews sent a message about what it’s like playing with successful backup QB Tyler Huntley.

Coach Jesse Minter’s Baltimore Ravens scored a thrilling 30-23 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons with backup QB Tyler Huntley leading the way, accomplishing something not seen since a former 49ers first rounder did it. Huntley overcame a big mistake by Mark Andrew and got help from Derrick Henry, who was in vintage form with a performance not seen since 2024.

Andrews spoke after the game, putting his costly fumble behind him and focusing on Huntley’s play. Kyle Hamilton later won the game with a turnover of his own, giving Huntley’s team the big W.

“He’s a leader, he’s a leader of men, he’s there, he’s militant, he’s just a guy that, anytime the ball is snapped, he’s looking to do something special and make plays and do his job. Just for a guy to play like that, it’s unbelievable for him, time and time again to make big plays, make plays.

Andrews also spoke about the trust and faith the Ravens have built among their teammates. The Ravens fell behind 7-3 on the road and used it as motivation to pull out a big win in enemy territory.

“Anytime you can come out, especially on Sunday night, and get a win like this, and just fight through adversity, nobody gets hot, nobody, no belief and faith, keep sticking to an agreement and keep fighting, it’s big time. We’re just going to keep trusting each other, and that’s what’s going to build on it, so I think it’s going to be big things.”
