Rams Week 4 injury report: Terrance Ferguson is expected to miss Sunday’s game

Terrance Ferguson suffered a medial ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos and is expected to miss the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Sean McVay. While this is a setback for the second-year tight end, it opens the door for rookie Max Klare.

With the injuries at the position, does that mean Klare will be in a bigger role? According to McVay, it does.

According to SI’s Blaine Grisak:

“It certainly does,” Sean McVay said. “This week represents an opportunity for him to get some reps and maybe get some good game time action for us.”

Week 4 Injury Assignments:

Puka Nacua, listed as limited on Thursday, are expected to play:

“I do, yes,” McVay said. “Had a good workout on uh last Sunday and um you know a good walkthrough just now and so um excited to have him back.”

Nacua was first injured during training camp, as he suffered a groin or psoas injury. It turned out to be a hip ailment, which has now kept him out of both Week 2 and Week 3.

Chamber Kitchens will miss another week with his hamstring issue. It was his third straight game since injuring the hamstring in Week 1.

Jaylen Watson dislocated his shoulder against Denver on Sunday and is expected to be out. His absence in the second half of that game illustrates how little depth the Rams have in the defensive backfield. The Broncos put up 30 points in the half after being shut out in the first.

Colby Parkinson suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder in the Denver game. Parkinson did not practice today and could be a game time decision.

Josh Wallace is limited due to a shoulder injury. His game status should be released on Friday, but it should be noted that he played last week until the end of the game.

Aaron Donald did not practice for the second straight day with a sore back and was listed as questionable. McVay offered more updates on Donald, saying he is dealing with a back injury. When pressed further, the Rams head coach said he didn’t want to say whether the defensive end would miss the game.

“I don’t want to say anything, you know, of that nature yet, but uh I think um you know, the back is a little sore,” McVay said of Donald.

Nate Landman did not practice and is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.
