Seahawks-Chargers game assignments: Jadarian Price ruled out after re-aggravation of injury

The Seattle Seahawks will be without their rookie running back against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Friday that Jadarian Price, who suffered a chest injury in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals and played through the injury in the Week 3 loss against the Washington Commanders, re-aggravated his injury during practice and has been ruled out for Week 4. Macdonald does not yet know if Price’s injury is a concern after this week.

Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are the only running backs on the 53-man roster, so the Seahawks will be lifting from the practice squad. Velus Jones Jr has a practice squad elevation remaining, while Jacardia Wright has yet to elevate. Macdonald indicated that Wright had his own issue, so it looks like Velus will be the third option.

For any positive injury news, Ty Okada is questionable to return with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the past three games. Okada’s full participation in training prepares for his season debut. Fellow starting safety Julian Love is completely out of the injury report, so his absence from the Commanders game due to calf tightness was a one-off. Special teams tight end Chazz Surratt is questionable, so he was late added to the injury report after not appearing on Wednesday or Thursday’s reports.

Here’s the full, final damage report.
