NFL Power Rankings: Week 6 Edition

Now that Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What makes these rankings different? everything else they are THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. But it’s true. Let’s see how all 32 teams stack up.

BLG’S WEEK 6 NFL POWER RANKINGS

1 – Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1) – The Chiefs return from their bye to host the winless Chargers on Sunday. Andy Reid is 22-5 directly after the bye.

2 – San Francisco 49ers (LW: 2) – Brock Purdy (+300) moved slightly behind Josh Allen (+250) in MVP odds with the Niners getting a big win against an NFC West rival. They are the top dog in the conference in addition to their division.

3 – Seattle Seahawks (LW: 3) – No great shame in narrowly losing to this 49ers team. Especially if they can bounce back quickly with a win over Denver on Thursday night.

4 – Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4) – The Ravens entered Week 5 as 3.5-point road underdogs with Lamar Jackson … and beat Atlanta in overtime. Strong effort to keep them alive for the top spot in the AFC.

5 – Buffalo Bills (LW: 5) – Josh Allen finished 15 yards shy of setting a new single-game rushing total as he ran through the Rams’ defense for a big overtime win.

6 – Minnesota Vikings (LW: 6) – Despite the fact that their offense is not very good, the Vikings keep winning. Of course, it helps that they face one of the easier schedules in the league. Going forward, Minnesota has the NFL’s toughest remaining strength of schedule.

7 – Chicago Bears (LW: 7) – The Bears got blown out … but it’s their first loss since Caleb Williams hasn’t started. And it looks like he’ll be back in Week 6. So, I think the Bears will be fine.

8 – Los Angeles Rams (LW: 8) – People want to clown the Rams for a 2-3 start because they are the preseason favorite. They must be cheaters, right? Unfortunately, that is not the case. If it is, they won’t still favored to win the Super Bowl.

9 – Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 10) – Jags get a win over the Eagles in London. They sit pretty at 4-1 in the AFC South with the next closest team being the 2-3 Colts. Jacksonville has easily the NFL’s remaining strength of schedule in no small part because their division is pretty bad.

10 – Detroit Lions (LW: 12) – The Lions defense continues to be suspect but that offense is sure to cook.

11 – Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 13) – The Bengals got a free win by beating the worst team in the NFL.

12 – New England Patriots (LW: 14) – Drake Maye’s burial after the Pats’ loss to the Jags was premature; he has seven touchdown passes with one interception over the past two weeks. And it looks like AJ Brown will be back soon.

13 – Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 11) – The Raiders have lost two straight following their 3-0 start. And now they have the Bills and Rams next. They are clearly in danger of falling below .500.

14 – Dallas Cowboys (LW: 9) – Dallas enters Week 5 as a 9.5-point home favorite against an undrafted rookie quarterback making his first career road start … in a short week. The Cowboys lost by eight points. One way to describe that performance? It’s embarrassing.

15 – Denver Broncos (LW: 16) – The Broncos beat a winless Bolts team.

16 – Carolina Panthers (LW: 18) – The Panthers return from their bye to play the Eagles, who have lost three straight, in Philly. They will have a big advantage in rest in this matchup with their opponent who comes from international travel from London.

17 – New York Giants (LW: 17) – If you had told Giants fans before the season that they would only lose one of their first five games … while Jaxson Dart was suffering a season-ending injury … I’m sure they would have signed up for that! Although they are not a threat to contend for a Super Bowl this season, they are giving their fans a little excitement, which they have been starving for a long time.

18 – Green Bay Packers (LW: 23) – The Packers look to be in pretty rough shape after losing Thursday night’s game in Atlanta at home. Since then, they’ve reeled off two wins, including a blowout against the Bears. Maybe they are repairing the ship.

19 – Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 15) – I feel like I’m lower on the 2026 Eagles than my ranking here suggests. They get the benefit of the doubt I gave them earlier in the season. While I think there is hope for defensive improvement, the offense stinks. Overall, this is a strange team. They are not far from being 4-1 but they are also pretty close to being 0-5.

Brandon Lee Gowton

Are the Eagles closer to 4-1 or 0-5?

I saw a decent amount of “Eagles are a few plays away from being 4-1.”

Which is true!

But they are only a few plays away from being 0-5.

Which of these two “almost” records do you see closer to the 2-3 Eagles?

20 – Atlanta Falcons (LW: 19) – The Falcons with Michael Penix? Intriguing. The Falcons with Tua Tagovailoa? No thanks!

21 – New Orleans Saints (LW: 20) – Remember when it looked like the Saints might be on the rise? Well, now they’re at the bottom of the NFC South. And just above Arizona in the NFC playoff picture.

22 – Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 24) – The Steelers are going to continue their undefeated season streak, right?

23 – Indianapolis Colts (LW: 21) – The Colts aren’t taking anyone seriously.

24 – Houston Texans (LW: 26) – The Texans finally get on the board with a win! It helped that they played the winless Titans. I didn’t expect the Marvin Harrison Jr. trade. will work for them. The precedent for high draft picks traded early in their careers is not encouraging.

25 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 27) – Looks like Jalon Daniels can play a little?

26 – New York Jets (LW: 28) – It wasn’t pretty but the Jets beat a Browns team that had won three straight games. It’s not nothing.

27 – Cleveland Browns (LW: 22) – Deshaun Watson turned in his worst game of the season. It’s a shame.

28 – Washington Commanders (LW: 25) – Rarely should a single game warrant a head coach being fired. But Dan Quinn (and Jayden Daniels) unintentionally ignore the end game scenario. The Commanders have really run themselves into a spot where a win could revive their season. Instead, they are 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the division. It seems like a year has gone by.

29 – Arizona Cardinals (LW: 29) – 0-4 since Week 1 and three of the four losses have been decided by more than one possession. They are who we thought they were.

30 – Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 30) – Turns out Justin Herbert isn’t The Prince Who Was Promised. The Bolts are really bad and the losing streak will only continue. Next up for them: the Chiefs and the Rams.

31 – Tennessee Titans (LW: 31) – Cam Ward is doing nothing to prevent the Titans from getting a quarterback high in the 2027 NFL Draft.

32 – Miami Dolphins (LW: 32) – I’m starting to think the Dolphins might not win the Super Bowl this season.
