New York Jets News: Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty Calls Out NYJ Defense

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty called out several defenders on the New York Jets defense ahead of Week 8:

“I think we can definitely get the run game going, get back on track, and just really get after these guys. There’s some guys out there that don’t really want to contend, but I’m not going to name names,” Jeanty said via ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

who are you, buddy?

Oh, I know who you are. You’re the player Raiders fans are questioning as a first-round bust. Mr. 3.1 yards per carry, which ranks 49th in the NFL among ball carriers. Las Vegas, as a team, ranks 31st in the league in rushing.

That’s a bold approach, Cotton; let’s see if it pays off. Now it’s not like the Jets are some tough unit or anything. They have been wildly inconsistent in stopping the run. They rank 24th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (127.7).

It’s just funny coming from a guy like Jeanty. If Baltimore Ravens superstar Derrick Henry said? Oh, okay, you’ve got some street cred, but Ashton Jeanty? Get out of here.

If that doesn’t motivate the Jets defense, I don’t know what will.
