Vikings QB Kyler Murray enjoyed his best outing as a Viking in Sunday’s win over the Saints. He threw for 229 yards and a TD in the victory, completing 80% of his 30 attempts. Murray added 51 yards on 10 carries. That included four hurries and three fumbles to close out the game. Take away those three plays, and we’re talking 7 carries for 54 yards, a nice 7.7 yard average.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Murray Could Help Your Team After All
Murray’s lone TD throw came on a well-placed ball to Justin Jefferson in the back of the end zone early in the third quarter. He also threw Jefferson a trust ball down the right sideline late in the second quarter.
Those two throws could indicate that Jefferson is unlocking Murray’s passing quite a bit. The two are not working together at the moment.
Murray carries the 12th highest QB mark of the week with Sunday night and Monday night games to go. That mark has been largely beaten over the past two weeks.
Now comes a Week 6 bye, but then Murray faces favorable matchups with the Colts, Lions, Bills, and Packers over the next four weeks.
Murray could be in the game as at least a bye-week fill-in during that span.
