Hopefully, this week will turn out better than the last two weeks. Yours truly went just 1-for-3 for the second week in a row, and the one that should have been a “gimme” didn’t even hit. I was fine with Aaron Jones going to his rushing yardage prop, but Justin Jefferson had a down game (as did every other Vikings’ pass catcher), and while the Vikings made get an interception by Caleb Williams, Harrison Smith fails to collect it.
But, once again in the breach I go in the hope of doing significantly better. Here’s what I’m looking at for this week, folks.
Kyler Murray Passing Yardage: Over 209.5 yards (-114)

If he can get into more than one quarter, he should be able to make some plays against this Buccaneers pass defense. So far this season, they’ve allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete more than 75% of their passes at a clip of 7.6 yards/attempt and have registered just three sacks through the first two games. I know Murray is still adjusting to Kevin O’Connell’s offense, but he was brought here to push the ball down the field, so if he can stay on the field he should have a chance to do that.
Aaron Jones Rushing Yardage: Under 50.5 yards (-114)
Jones put together a valiant effort in the rain and wind and slop in Chicago last week, but he took a significant loss in doing so. He doesn’t have an injury designation for this week, but I think the Vikings might want to try to work some other backs into the picture this week to try to keep him from getting worse. Tampa has been pretty tough against the run so far.
Same Game Parlay: Justin Jefferson to have 7+ catches and 70+ receiving yards and touchdown score any time (+346)

Again, the reasoning behind bringing in Kyler Murray to play quarterback for this team is simple: He’ll give the ball to Justin Jefferson. There will be no rain and wind in Tampa this week, and I don’t think anyone on the Buccaneers is really capable of slowing down #18, so there’s plenty of reason to be optimistic about this one, in my opinion.
