The Eagles announced Wednesday that RB Dameon Pierce has landed on IR, but have yet to reveal the injury that knocked him out of Monday night’s loss at Dallas. The team also announced that it elevated RB Jaydon Blue from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Eagles now seem to be rolling with Saquon Barkley, Elijah Mitchell, and Blue as their backfield for Sunday night’s game against the Commanders.
Pierce joins Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley on IR. Bigsby is eligible to return early in Week 9 but is likely to remain out through Week 10 after undergoing core-muscle surgery. Shipley’s earliest possible return is Week 11.
Philly also recently waived RB Carson Steele with an injury settlement.
We’ll see about Barkley’s health this week. He played against the Cowboys in Week 7 but saw little use while working through a hamstring issue and a new back injury.
Pierce is safe to fall in most fantasy leagues.
You can add Blue in deeper leagues, but he’ll need to prove his relevance before you consider using him.
