An independent review Tuesday upheld a one-game suspension for 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw. He was ejected after headbutting helmetless Seattle LB Ernest Jones on the sideline in the second quarter of Sunday’s game. That means Greenlaw will sit out Monday night’s home date with Washington.
What They Say
Fred Warner, via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner: “I tried to get there as fast as I could. I was too far away. He’s helpless in that situation. He’s all alone on their sideline. Of course, they’re trying to gang up on him and good on them for baiting him into doing something. But we know we got to be smart in all those situations… It’s just an unfortunate situation.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Oh yeah, poor Greenlaw had no choice but to stick his helmet on Jones’ forehead here.
San Francisco’s defense shouldn’t feel much of an impact in the run game. Greenlaw is working to his lowest Pro Football Focus grade in that area since 2020, his second year in the league.
His coverage play has been better, however, including a career-low 4.9 yards per catch allowed, according to PFF.
Commanders RB Rachaad White looks like the biggest potential to win here. He led Washington’s backfield in playing time in Week 5, including running 12 pass routes to Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s 6.
Jaden Dugger came in at No. 2 LB role in Greenlaw’s absence, racking up 9 tackles (7 solo) and a sack while playing 75% of the snaps.
He’ll be a risk-reward IDP option against a Washington offense that has given up the fourth-most fantasy points to LBs.
