The Jets are on a three-game losing streak that drops the team’s record to 2-6. The last two losses have come at home against beatable opponents. It’s no surprise that our latest SB Nation Reacts confidence poll suggests the majority of Jets fans don’t feel good about the team.
However, interestingly, confidence has actually increased quite a bit. A week ago after the team’s loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins, fan confidence dropped to 21 percent.
Our polls aren’t scientific, but I have to admit I was surprised to see that nearly one-third of the fanbase still has confidence in the team’s direction. This may have something to do with the rookie class looking solid and three first round picks along the way. It’s almost certainly not because of the level of coaching this team is receiving.
In any event, I’ve seen several Jets seasons go off the rails in recent memory. Confidence is usually lower. We’ll see how this weekend’s game against the Chiefs plays out.
