Dan Campbell’s wife breaks silence on Jack Campbell’s injury

The Detroit Lions picked up a victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but the win took a backseat to a sad moment on the field. Lions linebacker Jack Campbell suffered a neck injury on the play and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

After the game, the Lions released an official statement saying Campbell was resting and recovering while receiving additional medical care, but did not shed more light on the injury.

Since then, players and others in the NFL have offered their prayers for Campbell. Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke further about the power of people praying for the player while speaking to reporters on Monday, saying, “It’s positive, so your prayers are working. Please keep it up.”

“Victory Monday!!! Prayers for Jack, we love you 46!!! #onepride #winning #goodnews,” Holly Campbell posted on Instagram.

Fans were quick to comment on the post and offer their support.

“Think everyone is holding their breath until we hear Jack is ok. Great game yesterday and defeating the undefeated,” said one.

“My heart has been so heavy thinking about Jack Campbell since yesterday’s game,” added another. “I can’t seem to get him off my mind. Sending so much love and prayers to Jack and his family. May God wrap His loving arms around him, give him strength through this difficult time, and guide him to recovery and a full recovery…”
