Dalton Kincaid’s Main Route Runs Dry as a Target

It’s been two completely opposite stories for Kincaid through the first five weeks of the season. After ranking as TE2 with 20.3 PPR points per game in the first two weeks, he ranks as TE46 with just 3.2 PPR points per game over the past three weeks. Kincaid hauled in one of his 2 targets for seven yards and completed a 2-point attempt leading to 3.7 PPR points to land as TE38 in Week 5.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Routes Up, Targets Down

Kincaid was second to TE Dawson Knox in route involvement among Bills TEs last season, participating in 46.8% of passing snaps compared to Knox’s 49.7% mark.

But that’s not the case this season. Kincaid has a career-high 67.0% route participation grade compared to a 45.5% mark from Knox. Which, despite the halt in production, is not something that has been reversed. Kincaid still ran 23 routes, trailing only WR Khalil Shakir for the team lead, compared to Knox’s 12.

The issue lies in Kincaid’s lack of targets on the higher volume routes he runs. Since Week 3, he’s produced a target on just 10.3% of his routes which ranks 30th among TEs. On the season, Kincaid ranks 23rd, with an average target on 17.0% of his routes.

He aims to come close to his early-season production in Week 6, facing a Raiders defense that allows the sixth-most points among TEs.
