College Football Week 7 Best Bets: Ohio State–Indiana, Notre Dame–BYU

🏈 Two Showdowns. Two Favorites on the Road. One Loss to Four Teams.

Saturday’s college football schedule features two heavyweight matchups involving four teams with a combined one loss. And in both games, the home team is the underdog.

Ohio State (-3) at Indiana — Noon ET, Fox
Notre Dame (-10.5) at BYU — 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC

For Wes Reynoldsa proud Indiana graduate, the first game was personal.

He called Ohio State–Indiana “probably the biggest and certainly the most anticipated game in the history of Memorial Stadium.”

But the Hoosiers don’t get much respect.

“Most of the national media discussion and punditry is predicting an Ohio State win and saying that this is where Indiana gets its comeuppance,” Wes writes.

Wes made the case for Indiana — and has 10 other plays on his Saturday card.

Meanwhile, Matt Youmans had strong opinions on Ohio State–Indiana all week. He also sees a potential deciding factor in the night’s other marquee matchup.

BYU running back LJ Martinone of the best in the country, is on the side. That left quarterback Bear Bachmeier facing a Notre Dame defense that allowed fair 11 points per game.

As Matt puts it, Bachmeier may have to be a “one-man wrecking crew.”

Matt had picks in both marquee games, and two others.

And Dave “Dog or Pass” Tuley were also weighed in both games.

📊 Two NFL Lines That Don’t Agree

As the owner of Circa Derek Stevens pointed out to Matt Youmans on Friday, you don’t often see significant differences between sportsbooks in NFL games.

But there were two notable exceptions Friday night:

Bears–Falcons: Pick’em at Circa; Chicago -1.5 on DraftKings.

Saints–Giants: Pick’em at Circa; New Orleans -1.5 on DraftKings.

⚾ ALCS Game 4, Take Two

Friday’s Rays–Guardians game was washed out, and now the handicapping is getting trickier.

ALCS Game 4 has been rescheduled for tonight (8 p.m. ET)which forces both teams to adjust their construction plans.

Count Adam Burke it said: “From a betting perspective, this game remains a huge mess.”

Pitchers expected to work on Friday have now moved to Saturday. And the weather could limit the offensive upside for two teams that don’t hit many home runs to begin with.
