Christian Watson Almost Had Second Straight WR1 Week

Christian Watson caught three of eight targets for 64 yards leading to 9.4 PPR points and a fringe WR3 finish in Week 6. Three of his 9 targets were at least 20-yards downfield on his way to compiling 145 air yards against the Cowboys for the seventh-highest mark by a WR this week. That included a 26-yard dropped TD pass in the third quarter that would move Watson to WR1 status in back-to-back weeks.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Lions Offer Another Opening

Watson already has three WR1 finishes this season and is one of only six WRs with at least three entering Week 6.

He benefited from the Packers’ pitching more often than he did last season. Their 52.4% neutral pass rate ranks 27th among all offenses, while this season’s 61.4% rate leads five other teams.

That led to Love attempting the ninth most attempts among QBs with 37.7.

Watson is also seeing career-high target volume along with increased passing volume. His 21.7% target share leads only WR Matthew Golden for the Packers lead and 33rd among all WRs.

His next chance for a WR1 finish came against a favorable Lions defense in Week 7 that allowed the third-most points among WRs.
