The second of three injury reports has dropped for the Chargers this week and it doesn’t get any better now less than 72 hours from Sunday’s kickoff against the Broncos.
For the second straight day, safety Derwin James did not practice. That’s unfortunate news because he missed last week’s game with an injury that limited him to just two practices (both limited) in Week Four, as well. The same goes for Donte Jackson who left before halftime on Sunday due to a hamstring injury. He was also a DNP on the second day.
For the most part, Thursday’s report echoes Wednesday’s list with a few changes. Khalil Mack returned to full action after a veteran day while rookie wideout Brenen Thompson (hamstring) was a DNP Thursday after practicing Wednesday in a limited manner.
Tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm), defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring), and offensive guard Branson Taylor were all limited for the second straight day. All three are trending to possibly return this week for the Chargers.
