Bengals injury updates on Bryan Cook, Colbie Young, and Kyle Dugger

The Cincinnati Bengals were bitten by the injury bug in Sunday’s 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It started early, when rookie wide receiver Colbie Young exited the game with a knee injury early in the first quarter. Young caught one pass for a two-yard gain before rolling to the sideline and never returning. With Andrei Iosivas out, Young could be in line for a bigger role.

While hoping it’s not a long-term injury, head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that Young will miss Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The safety room was also hit. In the first half, Bryan Cook left the game with an ankle injury, but remained on the sidelines and returned to the game for several plays, with his right ankle taped. He tried to remove it, but the damage was obvious.

Kyle Dugger, who replaced him, was also concussed and could be seen limping on the field between plays. Both players will be monitored throughout the week, according to Taylor.

It was a tough break for some defensive backs, who will be tasked with slowing down a Jaguars offense that scored 35 points on the New England Patriots in Week 3.

Hopefully, they’ll all be on the mend this week, but these are definitely names to watch as the week progresses.
