The NFL has suspended Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson for two games, without pay, for punching Buffalo Bills pass rusher Bradley Chubb following Monday night’s game between the two teams, according to a new report from Aaron Wilson.
After a tumultuous game that saw the Bills defeat the Rams by a final score of 37-34, players from both teams gathered at midfield for the traditional post-game handshakes and jersey exchanges. Nearby, Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen is conducting an interview. But in the midst of it all, the verbal exchange between Jackson and Chubb got heated, and after Chubb initially moved away from Jackson, the Rams offensive lineman tackled him and then connected with Chubb with a quick right to the jaw that seemed out of place.
You can see that moment here:
Jackson completed the jersey exchange and had a Bills shirt in hand, as he walked down to Chubb and the conversation grew.
“It was a close game. And, you know, they always catch the second guy, so I let him swing and my teammates stopped me and I just went cold.”
Monday night’s loss dropped the Rams to 2-3 on the season. Los Angeles will face the Arizona Cardinals and the Las Vegas Raiders in the next two weeks of the season.
Jackson has been suspended for two NFL games in 2024 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, following a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims he recorded her without her consent during sex. He was also arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence in June of 2026 and charged with conduct involving a person who “willfully causes physical or corporal injury resulting in a ‘traumatic condition’ to an intimate partner.”
Ultimately, criminal charges were not filed and the matter was assigned to a pre-filing diversion program. Jackson was not suspended by the NFL as a result of that decision by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
