Breece Hall missed his fifth straight game with a quad injury on Sunday and Braelon Allen continued to shine in his absence.
Allen ran 21 times for 147 yards and a touchdown in a 38-33 loss to the Raiders and he’s averaging over 100 yards a game with Hall out of the lineup. Hall has been practicing for the past two weeks and he was booed after being listed as questionable, which combined with Allen’s performance as reasons for some to wonder if the Jets might consider trading Hall before the Nov. 10 deadline.
In a press conference Monday morning, head coach Aaron Glenn said that won’t happen.
“Still Breece part of this group“said Glenn, via Zack Rosenblatt of TheAthletic.com. “I’ve said it before: We’re in the business of keeping good players and he’s one of our better players so he’s here.”
The Jets have also reported rejected overtures from teams interested in trading for wide receiver Garrett Wilson, so it doesn’t appear their 2-6 start will lead to a fire sale next week.
