Houston Texans Opening Odds Vs Tennessee Titans

The Houston Texans take on the AFC South Toilet Nowl when they face off against the 0-4 Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Both teams desperately need a win to turn around their disappointing season. For Houston, the seats are getting hotter for the General Manager and coaching staff because the chances of making the playoffs are close to zero. For the Titans, they are looking for any sign of life from a team that has been a bottom dweller in the league for half a decade.

Last year, the Texans blew out the Titans in Week Three 26-0 to start their season. This year’s matchup will take place in Week Four, but it may be too little, too late for the Texans to turn around their disastrous start. If you’re looking for a little extra incentive in the game, check out the lines below to get you started.

As I said last week, until the Texans win a game, it’s hard to put money on them winning. They have been favored in all four tournaments this year and would have put betting fans in a hole w

Outscoring the Titans by nearly a full touchdown was extremely generous given how poor the Texans’ defense was. The Titans have lost three of their four games so far by less than seven points. With them playing in tight games, even losing, it’s almost impossible for me to suggest taking the Texans spread this time around.

The entire Texan franchise has its back against the wall. A loss against the Titans will definitely change things for the front office and Texans coaching staff. Of all the games this season, this should be the most “must win” to save the season and half the assistant coaches’ jobs. The Texans are on paper the better team. The offense seems to have improved with Nico Collins in the lineup. The Texans recently opened Tank Dell’s 21-day practice window, which means he could play against the Titans. IF that’s the case, it would be a huge addition to a fledgling offense that’s just trying to survive.

The Texans’ defense has surprisingly been an issue of late. They are one of the worst in the league against the pass and have given up the sixth most points. While I don’t expect a resounding performance, I do expect a win against a bad Titans team.

In bets, this is my most comfortable companion. With Nico Collins, the Texans offense is much improved. The run game is still struggling to produce anything of note on the ground with Woody Marks a non-factor and David Montgomery having his worst statistical season in years. However, in twosomes with Nico Collins in the lineup, they scored 31 and 30 points. That’s more than enough to confidently replace this low line.

The critical issue is Tennesee’s offense. They got 10, 20, 7, and 18 points. They only broke 20 once. Houston’s offense doesn’t need to generate significant production to beat the Titans, which is not what fans want to see.
