2027 NFL Draft Stock Up
Zeke Berry, CB, Michigan
Indiana had a low-scoring overtime win over Michigan as the Wolverines’ defense was superb in limiting Charlie Becker (3-32) and Nick Marsh (2-25). Berry was very good and made some big plays in the game. In the second quarter, Berry spun through the line to make a tackle in run support near the line of scrimmage. Moments later, Berry made a great tackle on Josh Hoover on a third-down scramble to stop him from getting first-down yardage and forcing a field goal. Late in the second quarter, Berry had a great coverage run with Marsh on the sideline, and Berry looked back to the quarterback at the perfect time to make a diving breakup that got his defense on the field. Late in the third quarter, Berry made a game-changing play with his team down 6-0. Berry was in off-man coverage and read Josh Hoover’s eyes to undercut Marsh for an interception with a 37-yard return to set up his offense at the Indiana 13.
This tape will help Berry a lot with pro evaluators in the coming months. Berry has sticky coverage on Marsh, showing the ability to run the route to avoid separation. He has good technique on when to get the ball back and has shown a great ability to play on the ball. His ball skills with batted passes and interceptions are impressive. Additionally, Berry tackled and was active as a run defender and played well on special teams. Berry could get late first-round consideration and looks like a second-round pick at the very least.
Chris Bracy, S, Michigan
Bracy has been a solid defender for the Wolverines this season, and that continued Saturday with an impressive performance against Indiana. Bracy was all over the field with 13 tackles. He was very good in zone coverage and attacked the Hoosier running backs with several stops coming down. Bracy flashed in 2025 with 81 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception, and nine passes broken up. Bracy looks like a potential day-two pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Jett Jefferson, CB, Mississippi State
While teammate Kelley Jones has gotten more attention, Jefferson has also been excellent for the Bulldogs. In speaking with several team sources, they are really high on Jefferson and think he is a complete player. In 2026, Jefferson had 32 tackles, one forced fumble, and seven passes batted. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder has a lot of upside because he’s only in his first year as a starter. Jefferson could be a first- or second-round pick if he enters the 2027 NFL Draft.
Carter Smith, OT, Indiana
Smith has been a solid and reliable blocker for the Hoosiers. He shows enough athleticism and speed to block the edge, with some strength as a run blocker. Smith is a steady blocker but not very dominant. So, he’s considered more of a day-two prospect, but this is a weak tackle class and he plays a premium position, so Smith could rise to late first-round consideration.
Zeroue Williams, OT, Utah
The 6-foot-8, 305-pound Williams is a big tackle, and he’s enjoying a breakout season. Williams is a backup in 2025 behind Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu, so Williams has upside to develop in his first year as a starter. He is big at the point of attack with length and moves well for his size. Williams benefits from 2027 being a down year for offensive tackle talent, and he could be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
DeJuan Lane, S, Tennessee
Lane has been an active and disruptive defender for the Volunteers this season. He had 36 tackles with two sacks, three interceptions, and four passes batted. He has shown versatility in zone coverage, can play nickel corner and defend the run. Lane (6-2, 215) has good size and could be a starting strong safety in the NFL. Lane could play himself on day two of the 2027 NFL Draft.
2027 NFL Draft Stock Down
Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
Chambliss had some real struggles against Texas. Chambliss finished completing 25-of-52 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions, including one of the picks on a Hail Mary. This tape will not help Chambliss draft grade. While he had some good plays and made some good throws from the pocket, he struggled mightily in the first half, Chambliss was 6-of-18 for 63 yards with two interceptions as Texas laid out the blueprint of keeping Chambliss in the pocket. Those struggles illustrate potential issues in the NFL. Defenses will regularly play him in containment, so he will have to continue to improve his pocket passing ability, which is a challenge for a 6-foot quarterback. Chambliss escapes well with a strong and accurate arm. He’s also very good at ad-libbing his team on big plays. However, Chambliss has some limitations that his pro team must consider.
