The 3-0 Minnesota Vikings will face a Miami Dolphins team in full rebuild modebut as The Real Forno Show warned, this Week 4 matchup has trap game written all over it. — Tyler Forness and Dave Stefano sat down with Dolphins guy Kevin Fielder for a Week 4 preview, and this one is a lot messier than a 7-point spread and it’s actually double-digits. Miami, under Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley, is in for a year of evaluation. Not a tank. Fielder put it to Sullivan: “It’s not going to be a rebuild in the sense that we’re going to tear it down.” They brought in Malik Willis to reunite him with the two guys who had already coached him in Green Bay. Early returns were mixed. Fielder was honest about it: “I think we’re going to talk about the Miami Dolphins needing a quarterback at some point in the next couple of years.”
De’Von Achane tore his ACL in Week 3, so Bobby Slowik will have to rebuild the run game around Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright. The Vikings have their own questions. Kyler Murray had a complete game in purple. Justin Jefferson didn’t practice all week when we recorded. Tyler watched that debut and said, “I think he saw too many flashes of color and decided not to” throw it out those windows. Fielder pushed back: “He just loses things on the field… there are explosive plays to be made.”
Brian Flores’ defense will test that Miami line. Fielder likes the interior: “Kadyn Proctor at left guard, Jonah Savaiinaea at right guard, Aaron Brewer in center, played well.” The Vikings running game is still in development with Josh Oliver out for the year and Aaron Jones always nicked up. The spread says comfortable. The tape says to ignore them.
