The Seattle Seahawks are playing all over the AFC West this season, harking back to the days when they were in the division from 1977-2001. Their first opponent in the AFC West is the Los Angeles Chargers, who are 0-3 and have been banged, but not to be taken lightly. It will also be the first time Jim Harbaugh has played the Seahawks in a significant game without Pete Carroll on the sideline since he quarterbacked a 1-15 San Diego Chargers squad in a 17-15 loss at Husky Stadium in 2000.
CBS will have a 1:25 pm PT broadcast of this game, and it’s a distant third in terms of game distribution and, frankly, interest. The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders are the main game, while the Denver Broncos and San Francisoc 49ers are the second game. Not even Alaska or Hawaii can get this one, so your best bet to get Seahawks vs. Charger your local CBS affiliate if you live in Washington, Oregon, Western Idaho, a portion of Western Montana, or the Los Angeles and San Diego regions. Calling the game will be Andrew Catalon and former New England Patriots safety Logan Ryan, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots but lost a Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers, as the 49ers have done in Super Bowls this century.
Seahawks fans have heard Catalon’s voice several times, including last year’s 44-13 win over the New Orleans Saints, the 2024 loss to the New York Giants, and several games in 2023.
Seattle could be a featured game (Week 5 vs. San Francisco 49ers) or nationally televised (Weeks 6-8 at Denver Broncos, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, vs. Chicago Bears) next month, so the Seahawks will be seen by a bigger audience soon.
